I have to say, those shots are incredible. I can barely imagine fragging in a game as detailed as Doom ]|[. It looks like a rendered cut-scene from older games. Mmmm, tasty.

Yeah, I think Doom 3's multiplayer is going to be it's own unique thing. I am very excited for it. It really appeals to me. Wish we could see screenshots of HL2 multiplayer. =(

I think Quake 4 will be Doom 3's multiplayer....

Unless of course they make you buy some expansion for it. But 4 player deathmatch, I don't care if the graphics are photo realistic, is crap.

Hmm. This thread could potentially turn into a flame war. So fars its ok.

Anyway. To me Doom III Multiplayer reminds me of Goldeneye and that was a cool game. I used to love playing that with my cousins.

But the beauty of Goldeneye multiplayer was that you were playing against 3 other people in the same room, that made it more fun and compensated for 4-player MP

Unless you are playing over a LAN, the multiplayer in Doom 3 will get boring

Quake 4 is a totally separate game... a return to Quake 2-style single player... which was fun but undemanding... Q4 is supposed to be amazingly scary single player. It's time for something new.... wait to see what they actually do without shouting about how 4 player would be crappy.

To be honest i think that LAN will be the main multiplayer thing anyway. People will do it over the net but i think its deffinately a more "close together" game.

The game was made to be licensed and modded really. Thats the main reason (well the mods anyway) that im buying it. Plus i feel like some good old monster bashing...in cool graphics.
