Dota 2 Fall 2015 Major Details Revealed

Despite being announced way back in April 2015, we've heard relatively little about the Dota 2 Majors up until now. To briefly recap, the "Majors" will act as a series of large-scale Dota 2 tournaments hosted by Valve and other third-party organisations intended to keep interest surrounding the game high year round, rather than always having a solitary peak surrounding The International in Summer. In a new blog post to the Dota 2 website, Valve have unveiled the first details surrounding the first "Fall" Major, taking place in November 2015.

Open Qualifiers for the Fall Major will take place between October 6th and 9th, giving experienced members of the community the chance to take part in the event alongside professional players, who will participate in their own Regional Qualifiers between October 10th and 13th. Teams invited to the Major's Main Event and the Regional Qualifiers will be announced on October 5th after likely being contacted privately sometime prior.

Teams looking to participate in either the Regionals or the Major will need to sign-up over on a new registration page available here. An FAQ over on the Majors Registration page should also fill in any missing information.

Now if Valve could stop announcing things within half an hour of each other, that'd be great.
