With only three days until the start of the third annual International Dota 2 tournament, Valve have updated the game's website with a whole host of new information regarding the upcoming biggest event in e-sports history. The tournament, set to begin on August 2nd 2013, now features a whole new page which discusses how the $2.7m+ prize pool from the Interactive Compendium will be distributed while also outlining useful information regarding the Benaroya Hall venue and the event schedule. As shown below, the prize pool will be distributed between the top 8 teams, with the first place prize currently featuring at over $1.35m.

The preliminary group stages will begin at 1pm PDT on August 2nd before running for several days until August 5th. After the conclusion of the group stages and a day long break on August 6th, the main event will begin at 12pm PDT on August 7th. Valve are estimating that each day will likely feature around 9-11 hours worth of Dota 2 before the tournament concludes on August 11th with the grand final. Several other major events will also take place throughout the tournament, including the Wild Card match (August 2nd), compendium voted Solo Championships (Playoffs on August 2nd and Grand Finals on August 8th) and All-Star Match (August 7th), and the first live screening of Valve's 75 minute long "Free To Play" documentary (August 10th). The documentary screening will feature as the only portion of the tournament which will not be live streamed in any form, as Valve believe the film is not yet ready for public release.

Another section of the renovated site includes "Ways To Watch", a new page highlighting the different global PubStomp venues and Twitch.TV live streaming services which will be available throughout the tournament. The final unlocked section, known as "At The Event", features a detailed list of activities a available to live spectators at the Benaroya Hall, including receiving physical and/or digital player, content creator and voice actor autographs to stamp onto in-game items, unique identifiable item drops, discussion sessions with workshop content creators, live appearances by some of Dota 2's voice acting cast, and a "Secret Shop" stall selling brand new themed merchandise. The other three locked sections, known as "News Feed", "Prelims", and "Main Event" are set to become accessible in due course as the event gets underway later this week.
Good luck to all the teams involved, this tournament is definitely going to be one for the gaming history books.
