do you think you will be able to say install mods and such if you download the game via steam as i know that the orginall halflife that i downloaded from steam i was not able to install mods or maybe the copy you download from steam is like 1 big .zip file which you extract then run the SETUP.exe which installs the game to c:\program files\vavle\halflife2 or sommthing

yes you can. you get all mods and expansions etc free as well over steam :bounce:

Keva, any mods or games you have installed in the C:\Sierra\ folder are automatically converted to Steam when you install the new Steam client. Any new mod releases should automatically update to the relevant folder as Valve will be working with MOD teams so they know how the Steam file system works.
