I'm a proud Dreamcast owner. One of the greatest consoles ever made. I'm too lazy to post all the games I have for it, but I got about 6 VMUs, 3 controllers, the keyboard, and the the microphone. Plus, its a launch day Dreamcast (9-9-99) that still works just as perfectly as ever (which is way more than I can say for my 3 month old Xbox 360).

EDIT: Guess I'm bored and will list my games:

Sonic Adventure
Sonic Adventure 2
Sonic Shuffle
Power Stone
Power Stone 2
Shenmue
Shenmue 2
Space Channel 5
Crazy Taxi
Crazy Taxi 2
Marvel vs. Capcom
Jet Grind Radio
Chu Chu Rocket
Toy Commander
Hydro Thunder
Trick Style
Sega Bass Fishing
Seaman
Daytona USA
San Francisco Rush 2049
Test Drive 6
NFL 2k1
Vigilante 8: Second Offense

And I think thats all of them....might be mising a few.

I don't own a Dreamcast but my ISP busted me for uploading a SF3:TS iso.

Anyone else think Dreamcast games need a second life on 360? maybe through XBLA?

Most DC games have been ported I think. Sonic Adventure sequels are still going. I have Phantasy Star Online and Skies of Arcadia for Gamecube, both originally DC games. Great games.

Shenmue should probably have another shot.

As much as I'd like Shemue to have a proper continuation/ending, I highly doubt there will be another one. Which is such a shame becuase part 2 ended with me wanting sooooo much more. Great game...great great game.

I'd love to see Chu Chu Rocket on XBLA, that would be awesome, complete with the multiplayer and all. Man, that would be great.

Power Stone got a PSP revival that i heard was awsome. . . i wanna see Soul Caliber and JGR on a new console tho . . .no, not the new Soul Calibers. . the original DC version. . .anyone have Bleem! ?

Jet Grind Radio has an Xbox version, "Jet Set Radio Future", which is also an equally awesome game just like the DC one. Its not a port, rather its an "alternate" version of the original story and characters. Shenmue 2 also got ported to the Xbox, but thats different because part 2 never got released in the US for the Dreamcast.

Actually, JSRF is meant to stand on it's own two feet, but if you look at the setup, it's kind of a continuation, as it takes place in a different city, and Beat and his crew show up later in the game. So it's a sequal and an alternate version all at once. . .

if you cant tell i did play it haha

EDIT: oh, and i want a modded controller taht replaces the buttons with another Analog, just for shootign games (yells at stupid Sega designer and Outtrigger makers).

I actually do own Jet Set Radio Future and went as far as getting absolutlely everything imaginable in that game unlocked. I'd say its just an alternate version of the original since the GGs start from scratch again and the main story (with the Golden Rhinos and the Devils Contract, etc..) are pretty much identical, its just done slightly differently.

Still have it back home, don't play it much anymore but it was awesome, had some good times with friends playing Sonic Shuffle, SF 3, etc.

OH. . . i didn't know they made that for the DC or i would have caught that. . . that was dumb heh. . . and man, i want the MGS Bleem! disc. . .

I LOVED this console.

When I first got it on christmas morning and opened it up to find Sonic Adventure I instantly fell in love with it. The graphics were amazing. The game was amazing. imo.

Then as time went on more and more great games came out. Loved every single one I got and played them all to death.

My games:
Sonic Adventure
Sonic Adevnture 2
Power Stone
Jet Set Radio
Shenmue
Shenmue 2
Crazy Taxi

Crazy Taxi 2
Toy Commander
Chu Chu Rocket

Sega Bass Fishing (with the controller, ace :D)
San Fransico Rush 2049 (so much fun doing stunts on this shit :D)
Metropolis Street Racer
Headhunter
Rez
Trick Style

Plus some more I can't remember the names of :(

Awesome console.

Borrowed a friend's a couple times, complete with his huge pirate collection of games. Don't see the fuss.

But then, he might just have an arse selection, and alot of them didn't work. Plus I didn't have enough time to get into Shenmue, seemed pretty great from what I played.

That said, the controller is up (down) there with N64. And that's saying something.

The console itself sucked....but there are some pretty ace games out for it. CRAAAZY TAXI 2!

Oh yeah, good times.

I only bought it for Shenmue after reading 1 million previews in magazines before it came out, just like I did for Max Payne.

I only had Blue Stinger, Ready to Rumble Boxing, Powerstone, Shenmue, Shenmue 2 and that free online multiplayer game.

The Dreamcast was a console put out by a company that has the business sense of a gnat. The Mega Drive was apparently a complete fluke: everything before it was on the fringes, everything after it smacked of poor planning and market-awareness. The Dreamcast was that last ditch effort that for once had a bunch of good ingredients... but they released far, far too early, and they simply lacked consumer loyalty after half a decade of acting like chumps.
Half-Life (that's right)
Half-Life was never actually released for the Dreamcast. Though people seem to still have played it somehow o_O.

I reckon there will be one. SEGA rapes their back archives endlessly (particularly, Sonic the Hedgehog seeks counseling for childhood traumas he must experience again and again). Even NiGHTS is getting a sequel, over a decade after it was originally released.

People managed to get bootlegs or something like that.

I would love for Shenmue to get an ending. I mean the end of Kowloon in Shenmue 2 was amazing. So much fighting and the rooftop scene was epic!

Guilin was a nice run-down from all the action to the ending. Was nice to get to know Shen-Hua whilst walking through the forests and there were some interesting scenes where she was showing off her "powers". Then there was the ending in the cave...

I WANT KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THEY LEAVE THE CAVE!! :( Dammit :(

Yeah, I'm a big Shenmue fan.

Oh, but that controller was the worst I have ever handled though. Ick...

And WTF at no one else knowing/liking Cannon Spike??? What happened to the twitch gamers??

The DC was/is an awesome console which, despite its short life, stood shoulder to shoulder with the PS2, GC, and Xbox.

Honourable mention to Rez, JSR and Samba De Amigo. There were plenty of other great games, but these blew my mind :)

Sit in a darkened room playing Rez on a projector and you will come out 5 hours later a shaking, grinning, spent husk of a man. Do that with recreational drugs and you probably won't come out at all.

I know man, part 2 ended so awesome...the whole walk through the forest and everything.

Also, we have a lot of the same games.

I was under the impression that HL for the DC was never released.

Anyone remember the game Seaman? Now that's a classic.

Never played one... I've been dying to ever I since I saw what they can do though.

never had one but i also wanted to play shenmue, the series sounded so awesome....

I've still got a torrented copy of HL on the DC floating around. It ran and controlled horribly, but it's an interesting piece of gaming history to hang onto :)

I remember the first time I saw Soul Calibur running on the Dreamcast, I had to buy the console right away! never regreted it, what a great console it is...

Okay, to the 12 ppl that voted "never played": go to the nearest game store, and lay down the $25 for one. You won't regret it. and that's a fact.
