Dubstep

i never have gotten into the buzz surrounding dubstep, but the two burial albums are basically masterpieces of atmospheric, downbeat dub. in fact, i'm going to listen to untrue right now. really recommend you check them out.

there's quite the dubstep scene down here in falmouth.

The scene seems to have gotten bigger over the past 6 months or so. When i first started going out to drum and bass nights there may have been a small side room with some on for a few hours. But now you find the dubstep is in the main rooms with dnb on the side. Its great.

But it generally changes dependent on what the event is.

No, not really.

But then again I'm never happy.

That stuff is much like the pop of dubstep - repetitive, emotionally void, derivative. There's an ever-expanding amount of incredibly interesting, intelligent music being produced, but it takes some looking to find it and then find a club where it's being played.

edit - on the tracklist for that set, there are 3, maybe 2 tracks that I'd consider any good, or worthwhile. And 1 if I'm being brutally honest. And that 1 isn't even a very good track.

Ok

Post something good then.

**Edit**

^^ not a dig or anything... just interested in hearing more.
