Dystopia start up issue

I have downloaded Dystopia Demo Full Client (Update 4) and installed in correctly and it appears on my list of installed mods but when i click to play it says the game is not available, please try later. Is this HL2's way of saying something is not installed correctly? Other official mods work fine.

EDIT: works if i use the desktop shortcut but not if i try and launch from within the steam game list. Weird.

I believe Dystopia has their own website and own forums where I'd assume their fans/staff would hang out much more regularly than here. You may want to try over there.
