Ep. 3 Alternate End

Guys, this is my first thread and i`ve come with a genius idea. What if, Valve will make 2 alternate endings for the next episode 3 from the decision of saving the technology from Borealis or destroing it. This will be a lot fun but the game would be pretty short i guess. Half life saga rulz :thumbs:

I suppose they could. They did give you a choice at the end of Half Life 1, though it was a Hobson's choice.. there was only one 'real' choice, the choice that opened the game up for a sequel.

I'd rather have a single, conclusive ending; Half-life has a strict narrative and I think choice would take the series in the wrong direction.

i would rather it stay on the linear storybased gameplay mostly for the sake of discussion. though it might be interesting it could result in the "Hobson's choice" that doombringer said. so no matter what you do; you will have the same outcome.

Laidlaw stated that he wasn’t happy with the ending of original Half-Life, so I don't think we'll ever see Gordon having an important decision in the series again.

thats not exactly it...

it means that your 2 choices are different but the outcome will be the same in the end

No.

The gman says "rather than giving you the illusion of choice" at the end of Half-Life 2, I believe referring to the ending of Half-Life 1. I don't think you'll ever get that "illusion" again.

Me likey!But much too complicated,and people wouldnt agree with each other,and would make story/continuation too mixed up,and would eventualy be more bad than good.I myself am gonna detonate the Borealis!
