Error 1305 while installing the 4th disk of HL2

I'm having trouble installing HL2. When I get to the 4th disk I get Error 1305, Error reading from file: C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\Apps\counter-strike source shared content.gcf. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it. I checked the Sierra website and it recommended installing both HL2 and Counter-Strike Source Program, but you can only choose HL2 or Counter-strike but not both. Can anyone help assist me with this problem?? Very annoying to say the least!! :angry:

My friend you are in luck.
Ebgames E-Mailled me about this, you need to install again, but SELECT COUNTER STRIKE SOURCE .

You can delete it later.

I thought I Tried it both ways, first HL2 and when that failed I thought I tried Counter strike Source. I noticed that you can't select both. I take it that it worked for you. Thanks Adrien, I'll try again.

I've tried everything possible including your recommendation without success. I still get the same error. This is very discouraging to say the least. Any other thoughts on this problem?? Thanks. :flame:

Ive emailed Sierra, but i dunno if i can count on them to answer me lol....

I had the same problem

you have a corrupt disk.

you have to return it and get a new copy
