Error message

Hi,
I rescently bought half life 2, however whenever i try and play it, an error message comes up saying "Failed to set video mode - resetting to defaults"

Any suggestions?

you probably have a NVidia video card and recently upgraded to the 77.72 drivers. If so, downgrade and everything will be fine

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeep...Had that exact same thing but, made a F**k up and spent the last 4 days reformating and reinstalling everything..WO IS ME!

Major crevice pain i do profess.. ......worked though

Yeah alot of people had this happen to them (including me), the direct sight link to download one of the older drivers is in this forum somewhere..pretty recently.
