Ethernet problems

Sometimes my internet doesnt work and i look at my ethernet thing and the lights off but my router wire is connected. Sometimes its ok and sometimes it doesnt work. Right now i spent 1 hour trying to get it to work. Do you guys think the Ethernet thing is broken because its fine on my lapytop?

is it intergrated or is it a pci card?

if it's a pci card, is it fully seated in the slot?

Ya it is fully in. Well guess what? This time its connected the lights on and still i cant access internet. Yes its pci. I am reformattinhg computer maybe i got some weird virus blocking me from internet. Whats weird is it says wire is connected to computer but i cant access internet or router this time. 192.168.1.1

I think i got something messed up.


UPDATE" ALSO I HAVE A iPod AND I HAVE TO SAY GET ONE NOW!!!!

I think the new ipods wonjt have battery problems like the older ones.
