Fallout 3

what's up with Fallout 3? absolutely no information/news etc yet it's listed on best buy for a Nov 30 2007 release (obviously the date means jack) Some info would be nice but I guess not until they officially announce it.

Anyways, I'm sure we'll see more info next year. We don't see new GTA info until about 6-8 months from release. Probably won't see any until about 6-8 months before release. Now that Bethesda is done with Oblivion, I can definitely see it happening.

Is Fallout in any way similar to Diablo? Because I don't get on with Diablo but everyone mentions Fallout.

Meh, I would probably -love- Fallout if it weren't for that turn-based crap.
I mean I was on a scene where there must've been over 20 rats on the screen, and every step I made the game would pause and want me to attack one.
X_x It was really irritating.

Only thing I disliked about Fallout. I got used to it eventually, but still...hated it.

I hated it at first, but came to realise how superb it was later on. In Baldur's Gate etc you just point, click and then wait for the enemy to die, but how satisfying is it in Fallout to go all out for critical hits to the groin, or blind your opponent with a critical to the eyes and watch them attempt to shuffle away in terror. It makes battle far more strategic.

I loved how you could insult people and then poke their eyes out. fallout was a great game.

Fallout's combat system is outstanding, nothing like torturing your enemy by crippling both his legs and arms follow by a bunch of punches to the crotch to knock him down over and over again. I wish more RPGs would allow me to have that much fun on a single foe...

I imagine that Bethesda is still to early on in development to actually show anything. They probably want to make a big splash with it, so they're waiting. Hopefully we'll see it next year.
