Here?s something for the laptop gamers out there - ASUS has unveiled the first ever external video card for laptops, called the XG Station. It comes with a ASUS EN7900GS graphics card and is equipped with Express Card interface, USB 2.0 and Dolby headphones.

Clock speeds are adjustable from the big knob on the docking station and the big LED screen shows the GPU clock speed, GPU temperature, GPU fan speed, how many frames per second you?re getting, the master volume and Dolby Headphone feature status.

ASUS currently plans to release the XG Station at the beginning of Q2 2007. Full press release after the break.

That's pretty cool! It'll surely cost a shit load though.

Yeah..but it's pretty neat. Got the overclock knob, volume, FPS display...sounds freaking AWESOME.

I supposed you could quite easily use it on multiple laptops too, like taking it to a friend's house to use on their system would be simple.

that is an awesome solution for laptop gaming - I cringe to think of the price tag though
