Once I first booted up the main screen, I was impressed. Here I was thinking I would be treated to a simple background, but no, a combine soldier walks along the footpath, birds fly off in the distance. I can just see that I am in for something special.
HL2 has met my expectations of the game and exceeded them. I knew there would be some nice physics in the game, but the ability to pick up almost any bit of debris on the ground astounds me. I literally spent 30 min to go through the Trainstation sequence, amazing.
PROS: Physics, models, faces, animations, sounds, gameplay, suspense...etc
CONS: Long load times
