Flash videos stop playing after a few seconds

Every now and then I get this problem in Firefox. Flash videos play with no sound for a few seconds and then stop. On youtube they always stop at 00:02 seconds. They may have been playing fine for the past hours, but at one point this issue occurs and I have to either restart my PC or view the videos in IE.

What's up with that?

Could it possibly be an extension you have added? You can try disabling them and see if it still does it.

Also check for FF updates and extension updates. I don't see a way to update plug-ins ....?


I get a slightly similar thing, only on Youtube -

every other video I click doesn't load unless I refresh the page.

Yeah, I've seen this problem. Happens when I try to load a page with heaps of embedded flash videos, usually Youtube.

Most of the time, restarting FF fixes the problem but if that doesn't work, I just use IE.

Weird stuff guys, it fixed itself without restarting Firefox or the PC. I wonder how long till it breaks itself again?
