Flying on wood with the phys gun (spoiler for some)

I've been reading about these things you can do with the super phys gun, downloaded jbmod and building blocks map and started to play with the physics myself. While I was playing something I haven't read about happened, though I've read quite some pages about playing with the super phys gun. Sorry if it has been posted but as I'm saying I haven't seen a post about it.

I took this palette made of wooden planks, jumped on it and pressed the primary fire. I have done this before to jump on objects but with jbmod primaryfire is for grabbing objects. So it grabbed the wood and I started flying straight in the air. It doesn't happen always, you have to find the right spot on the object. It didn't work with some of the other objects I tried afterwards but again it worked with wood, this time a box. I wonder sometimes it does work, sometimes not (I mean why grabbing some spots causes me to fly, while sometimes nothing happens). I have a demo, but it's (zipped) 437kb so I cannot attach it. :/

Yeah, you can stand on-top of anything, use the physgun, and roll your mouse wheel back (twords you) and it will lift you up.

I'm surprised because everyone is so excited about welding stuff to each other, but this is also a cool feature and ppl do not talk about it too much. Flying the buggy is so cool, trying to master steering it in the air without falling down... awesomeness.

That mod never worked for me, i couldnt weld s**t together or anything so I deleted it...that and loading times was 2x as long.

Rofl! I did this back when the Physgun first came out.

Even made a video of it with a few different styles.

On the coast i did this (kinda) by accident.

Only difference was i grabbed a telephone pole, which i was stood on... instant catapult.. trouble was i launched myself out into the bay.
