Did psycology help you to understand the world better and make you a better person? I was wondering because I might take it as a secondary humanities course in college. Thanks for your input.

helped me a whole lot, great course, very interesting, take it, ask for a recomendation of a good teacher, it matteres
 
Sociology is better, although I only took high school versions of those courses.
 
my brother majors in psychology, and he is a f-ing genious.. so yes it will help haha
 
Psychology isn't the most interesting class; it is a lot of memorizing vocabulary, but you do learn a few really intersting things about human behavior.
 
Psychology = Intresting, but useless in the long term. Whatever you do though, don't major in it (sorry bryan), there aren't enough open posts for it.

BTW, I'm 15 and I already went over my school's Psychology honors class by reading books :P.
 
What I mean is did you guys feel that it made you a better person. im reading alot of psychology literature lately and I find it extremely enriching to my thought processes and to my behavior, and I was wondering if the classes do the same thing.
 
all I have to say is stay away from any psych drugs....

(no, it isn't first hand experience)
 
Im studying some beggining psychology and its enlightening kind of thought im maiknly reading it to become better at memorizing and a nicer person
