For those of you who are upset about the L4D 2/ no Episode Three news

Not sure this will work for you, but good luck anyway.

.
Well, they do already know you're upset, by the way. They still read the official boards. What are they going to do just because you have a list of names? Episode Three isn't ready yet due to being an enormous game to finish off the installment. It's still being developed by Valve North and nothing's in their way. What's the problem? Heh, people always used to rage at them to give out a planned release date ahead of time, and then you raged at them even more if it was pushed back a month.

Now they're not saying anything this time and have another game out in front, and you're still so unhappy and disappointed by them. It's just a game, no need to lose all hope or boycott or sign a petition. I was disappointed as well but you can still get over it and not act like children. :p Eh, I hope we have an early surprise for Episode Three still.

.

And what to we achieve by that? Yes I'm as disappointed as the next guy, but Valve must have had their reasons not to show anything yet. People have got to stop thinking that Valve are trying to piss us off, the fact is that they don't feel ready to show it yet and we have to respect that. Trying to force them though angry E-mails is not what we want.
Just think about playing EP3 not knowing about all the new features and experiencing them yourself instead of seeing them beforehand.

So, signing the petition will force Valve to work faster? I don't get it.

Sure I was disappointed too when they showed nothing about episode 3 but we waited for 2 years, personally I can still wait longer because I know that episode 3 will be worth it. The petition seem pointless.

This is not about pressuring Valve to work faster; it's more about reminding Valve that their customers have been waiting for two years with virtually no information released about Episode Three. Will it make a huge difference? Probably not. But After E3, myself and others felt the need to do something in a more positive way (the Steam boards are filled with negativity at the moment).

You don't have to agree/ support it. Just throwing it out there.

This isn't a "positive way" of expressing yourself. This is just a way of expressing how ungrateful we all are.

Do you want it done quickly, or do you want it done right?

Putting names down on the list will just make the rounding up and culling of the stupids easier when the revolution comes.

Legalise Stupanasia!

edit: Just out of curiosity, how many of the bitch and whine brigade have been playing Half-Life since 1998? Because one and a half years with two pieces of (near identical) concept art pales in comparison with four and a half with absolutely nothing, and a release six-years later.

You really think Valve need reminding that it's been two years and we still haven't had any info? Valve are doing this intentionally, they don't want to give us incorrect info like they did with EP1 and EP2 where the media they released didn't make the final game. Valve know what they are doing, petition them all you want they are no strangers at being hated by the community. I think that a lot of these so called fans jumped on the Half-Life bandwagon after HL2, this wait is nothing compared to what we had with HL2.

This is all I have to say about this thread & petition.

You're gonna get a "teaser" that is a model of the g-man in default position floating around a small room with snow textures.

There is nothing negative about the thread; you don't have to agree, but if you actually read it, you will understand that such a request is in no way disrespectful or whiny towards Valve.

From the petition on the Steampowered forums:
and I believe that such an update is necessary in order to keep the community not only together, but behaving in a respectful and orderly fashion.
To which community do you refer? We may or may not be a lost cause on the last point, but not because we haven't had a report from Valve yet. Is your community there falling apart because of this? What does that say about them?

The only reason that HL2.net is in a rut would be because of the horde of people crying from steampowered because they already have thousands upon thousands of threads about the same thing.

Heh, yeah I've noticed it's a lot more quiet around here so that's good. But still, 6,519 members and counting
are continuously joining the 'Boycott Valve' group. I sort of couldn't help smiling at the childish outrage until
now, because people are getting way too serious for this. Valve doesn't deserve them, and yet they talk about
how they deserve more from Valve... amusing, really. :p
