How much of a chang is there in fps between the resolutions?
1600x1200, 1280 x ????, etc

well, i just wanna see what everyone thinks. about how many fps go down each res. change

each res about 20 fps difference. also, another variable is your vid card. all depends.

I don't think a card exists that could play Half-Life 2 with normal FPS at 1600x1200.

The card at the HL2 E3 demo was an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb and it has been said it ran at about 60 fps. I'm not sure what resolution and what AA and AF settings were on but the resolution had to be at least 1280x768 (it was a widescreen).

gabe said it was 13xx by 7xx he didnt remember the exact res.

I have 512 DDR and a 2.6 P4. If I got a 9800pro could HL2 run 60 fps on 1024x768 resolution with all the graphics turned up?

Xtasy0 has the right resolution, but the game was running with no AA or AF. It will be interesting to see how the game looks on the Direct Connect videos..
