This post it just for people who need some next to free stuff for hl2 and cant pay over $500 for a new pc

id lvoe that graphcis card cos my friend has one of thsoe and they are sweet :)

my current card is a geforce4 mx440 (biggest con...) why did i have to find out its like a rebadged geforce2 after i bought it :(

wow how much for the graphics card. i think i have the worst card on these whole forums. Geforce 2 MX/MX 400... no heatsink, no fan.. its just plain trash.

Im doing this cuz i want every1 2 try 2 play hl2 if there pc sucks ass.

P.S. Im gettn a 5k pc in november when the new cpu's and vid cards come out!!!

what are u looking for in terms of price for the P4 1.7 ghz 533fsb and the G4 ti4200?

i can't afford much.. but gimme an idea of what ur looking for.

im in Toronto, Canada.. so hopefully if the price is okay, shipping won't be too much of a problem.. :)
 
why is the thread titled free stuff when youre asking for price quotes?
 
well since im gettn so many hits on this, I cant pick just some1. So im asking for w/e is reasonable for ppl. Ill just probably just pick one person who needs it most. I mean im doing this for ppl less fortunate, cuz im gettn a 5k pc soon and i dont really need the parts.

Tell me how much you are willing to pay freeman. I dont wanna charge to high for this.

Ps guys ill pay for shipping.
 
whats the stats on the 5k pc your gettin? id really like to know what my goals are for the next 10 years ;) lol...id never be able to get a 5k pc.
 
Prolly just a Falcon NW w/ the new graph cards the pci express and like 2 ghz of ram

800Mhz

hey....right now i only have an 800Mhz processor, and it's not even a solid 800mhz. The comp is an almost 2 year old Cicero package dealy from future shop (oh, the humanity) that my girlfriend bought, and i'm trying to upgrade it to semi playable order for HL2 (as i don't have a comp of my own). As a good example of exactly how hurting this cpu is, the bink videos of HL2 run at about a half a frame a sec, which sucks cause i spent most of my money upgrading the rest:
768meg pc133
geforce3 128meg (not sure what model)

I do have some money left to put toward upgrading, but barely enough to upgrade the MB, leaving me either with a processorless comp, or a comp that is still being pulled into the quicksand that is her processor. I'm willing to make sacrifices to buy this off you (e.g. live of rice for a month), as well as post 3d mark scores if you wan't. Anyway, that's my sob story.

by the way, i meant to say i was interested in the processor somewhere in there ^ .....how much would you like for it?(in canadian $$.....roughly anyway).

Well i'd take it for free, you have to state the price, I have no idea what the brand/age/reliability is. All I know is that the one I have in my PC now is terrible, I have to manually eject the CD whenever I want to take it out! And it makes terrible grinding noises when its reading the CD (if it reads the CD).
 
Well the ti4200 is in gr8 shape and the processor is old though :(. As is the ram so im giving the ram away for free. its PC133 i know it sucks lol.

But guys i really really want to get rid of these two 52x cd-Roms. They are BRAND NEW, not even installed. Ill give these for free for anyone who wants them. You pay for shipping though.

^didnt you say you and your brother were building a 1500 dollar computer in the other thread about somebody giving parts away.
 
If i had any money i would put in a bid for the ti 4200, but i also live in the UK so shipping would be a problem. Not to worry, i'll be playing HL2 in all its glory.....next April :D
 
wait..is the ram DDR pc2100 or SDR PC133? AFAIK there is no "DDR PC133" .....

but you still have the chance to use his 1500 dollar system ...people like me would never have the chance ;x (well atleast not this year for me)

hes selling/giving those parts for people in need ;) not in want :afro:
