After hours of searching I finally found this perfect entity to fog up my map. But it's all black. Black!!! I mean, it's not pure black, but it's gray, and I'd rather it be white. The RBG values are all 255, pure white. But it still ends up being dark gray. :flame: I tried the various particle materials, still can't get it to work properly. It would be so damn perfect, too.

yeah i had the same problem with env_steam. i think it has something to do with the lights.

Ack screw balls. I really can't have a light... oh well, it's too much of an FPS hog anyway... poo :(

im guessing the logic behind it is, if the room is dark, why should the fog be bright?

Actually, it was going to be used for a misty effect across a marsh, and since the map is set at night....

I'll see if I can add some bright lights across the fogged area, although it might look goofy. And yeah, probably won't work either way as the effect is a huge fps monster.

Can anyone suggest a cheaper effect? Something a bit...less dense, but still noticable? It must be volumetric.
