Gabe Says RC by End of July

Several people are reporting to us that they have been in touch with Gabe in response to his "Steam" emails, and that Gabe has been revealing an RC (release candidate) by month's end.

I haven't had a chance to speak to Gabe yet, but I will confirm this with him as soon as possible.

Note: Do not confuse gold status or release date with RC. These are three different things.

There are several RC's in every games final stages.

These are usualy scrapped due to the finding of new bugs and or other problems.

Whilst this isnt bad news it does NOT mean the game will go gold.

Well, I will assume this, Valve can not delay this game to the end of fall or winter, or whatever, because they know whole damn HL2 community will go ape-shit on them, so I guess August is a good time for it to go GOLD, and coming out in the beginning of September.

That's better!

I've only followed a few games (the biggest one was Ritual's Condition Zero, I used to lurk at ritualistic's forums).. and let me tell you, that game went through atleast a few dozen RCs.. it was painful to watch the devs post about them.
