Game stops

Hope you can assits, I am having probs with HL2

When I get the Black Mesa East and need to catch the lift, the Dr just stand there and does nothing.. Can you please tell ,e what I'm supposed to do..

common problem for the warez version... if not then check steam that all files are verified and ok by running start, run and type "steam://validate/220"

or try reloading the level a few times and it should work.

It's a common problem with the retail version too, stand in the elevator with the doctor and push F6 then F7. If it doesn't work the first time move around the elevator and try again. That advice comes straight from vavle so it should work.

If however you are playing a warez version then don't bother trying because it won't work.

yep its a common problem for the retail version. i bought hl2 off steam the day it came out and had this problem.

anyway just try to reload the map using the 'map' command from the console, and as the others are saying if you do happen to have the warez version, this wont work.

anyway, just thought id offer some advice before bliink closes this thread as in her opinion, anyone who experiences this problem is automatically a thieving pirate.
