Gamma/Brightness/Resolution problem

Hello!

I don't know how this happened but now at my "Video" tab in options doesn't save when I make changes.
This is for HL2/CS:S/HL2DM.

It's really annoying to have to change my resolution and gamma every time I want to play. And at the picture test in gamma preference, is there 3 texts or 2? Because when I put it to the brightess I only see 2, one pretty ok the other one I see barely.

PS: My config.cfg isn't read-only.

i used to have similar problems with CS and other games but i was introduced to PowerStrip and well i just, just like other programs it wouldn't work but i gave it a try anyway and since then, i have enjoyed my games more.

i recommend u try it before doing something else...make sure u make use of the "Hot Key manager" in which u can assign keys to adjust brightness, gamma and contrast and the program should work fine and u should be able to see better.
