Garry's mod is broken =(

Hey,

I was just about to play Garry's mod and now whenever it launches it would go to a black screen, then, the menu is completely white. I have tried re-installing it, restarting steam and restarting my computer. Could someone explain this sudden problem? All thoughts will be appreciated.

HL2 is semi-fixed, the colours are messed up and the shadows are missing

Looks like everything is in full bright, I get wierd color errors and problems in full bright mode, tried turning it off?

I have tried adjusting the gamma, yes.

There's two versions of the map. You're playing the wrong one. Or so I've heard.

It isn't only with Garry's mod now. It is with all source games :|

EDIT: I am thinking there might be a console command that might change some stuff to fix this.

try that. Friend said it will do just like ur headcrab looks if its turned off

Well, I could tell you how I fixed...

WHAT I DID:

-Re-installed HL2 by the discs and not through steam
-if you can't do that, use some of the console commands in this thread
-play Half-life 3... in a few years
