Dont get a Dell, they're crap cause they don't put enough ram in them, their top model only has 512mb.

Dell alwyas cut corners. They will configure a good system then throw a GF4MX or 5200 in. If you configure a good all round machine then you will pay $$$$. You mightaswell go alienware.

pends on all what you want, with dell they pump the computer up with so much useless bull that you really don't need and it becomes overpriced IMO....with Alienware you will pay anywhere from $300-$800 JUST for the brandname, I will NEVER get an Alienware unless I was rich and had nothing else to spend my money on...now I thinkIbuypower is pretty good, you can get a pretty good comp for a lump sum of $1300-$1500 only bad thing is no free shipping and no e-financing...HP is pretty good with everything, best thing to do is find a coupon site and see if they have any coupons for any major PC selling companies and you can easily get a coupon to knock off 10% or $200 or whatever (pends on what the site has) or if someone you know works for the state, if they use computers where he/she works they usually buy bulk comps. and they get some kind of code to where they get an extra 5% - 10% knocked off.

Not sure if you can use multiple coupons/codes to take 20% off or what, but just thought I'd share some advice and please no flameing, thank you

Yup ive got a 2.53ghz dell but it has a GF4MX 420 (reaaaaaally gotta upgrade that).

you can get up to 1.5GB in some computers, costs an ass load though

Umm the XPS offers up to 2 gigs last i checked yesterday. Anyway, im on a dell now, i would never buy again. It was a gift so i couldnt help it.

I have the XPS system it goes to 2 gigs... I havent had a problem with Dells... my friends have, but not me.
