goin gold this week perhapse?

Based upon some of the stuff i've seen in cs source beta, i believe hl2 is still a little buggy. It could also just be the mod itself, from what I've seen, I believe it'll be bug-free in the next few days, it'll be sooner if the patches they update don't cause more bugs....

I don't know, but if we make a thread about it every single day, Valve will surely release Half-Life 2 ahead of schedule.

From all the latest mag articles and supposive big reviews coming up I would say HL2 is almost done, however I HIGHLY HIGHLY doubt HL2 will be out this month, late october...early november is more realistic thinking.

God, I've been going insane for this past week, after reading all these posts about "HL2 going gold tomorrow, HL2 is already gold, coming out this Friday, Download HL2 from Steam this Saturday"! Do you know how hard it is to sit through A WHOLE DAY OF SCHOOL thinking about this? lol

Let's make a petition and send it to VALVe....I think this is their version of "Wave the piece of steak in front of the duck and see how long it before it goes insane from hunger", only we're the duck and HL2 is the steak...

Sorry, but I haven't been sleeping well....I've been getting up at two-hour intervals to check Steam if the games downloadable now...I know, it's sad...

When will Valve notice that we dont give a S*** about CS: S

I would rather have HL2 anyday, CS:S can come out next year, just give us HL2, we have waited 6 years now
 
While i do care about CS:S, I'd much rather have full version of HL2 then a one-map beta of CS:S.

It does keep me busy while I wait, though.
 
they should release hl2, and just let the modders make all the multiplayer like they did w/ the original hl, and just have cs:s come later for all those that wont be glued to hl2 sp for the next 3 months

Yeah, but then Valve wouldn't have an excuse to delay Half-Life 2 for another 3 months!

the chances of ducks eating steaks are the same chances hl2 comes out on friday, START THE PARTY AND LETS BUY SOME STEAK!
 
When it goes gold, will it be downloadable via Steam? Or do I have to wait until it goes retail?

I'm really feeling like having some steak suddenly.

Also, my jedi senses are registering an enormous shift in the force. Something must be going on in regards to HL2, it's the only explanation!
 
Waaaaay too many sites say the expected release date is Nov. 2nd...I don't want that answer! I want the answer to be "TODAY!"

Assuming they're still shooting for September 30th, they would have to go gold within the upcoming week. Two weeks of printing and voila, HL2.

But this would have to mean that all of the major bugs for Source are fixed (as in the crashing). I doubt they'll get the minor visual and performance stuff, considering steam exists and it's quicker to patch.
 
I'd say 3 weeks for all the stuff to be boxed, soo, gold by September 9th?
