I just bought myself an acoustic guitar, and I want to learn how to play a few songs. Does anyone know any good acoustic songs which are moderately easy? Thanks in advance.

I dont play guitar myself but the chords to Oasis songs are supposed to be really easy to play.

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here.

How orignal of me. Umm, I don't play many acoustic songs.

One of my favorites is Pallar Anders Visa by In Flames. Its short but exceedingly beautiful and potentially easy to learn. I hope you like it!

I'm tempted to say Swing Life Away by Rise Against. It sounds moderately easy, i.e. I, with my poor and unused skills, could probably pick up a guitar and learn most of it within a couple of hours.

Plus, it's a nice song.

Under the bridge or Soul to squeeze by RHCP's (not sure which one it was, perhaps both), which my mate played to my year on an acoustic. It was beautiful...really lovely.

Good luck with the acoustic, i'm sure you'll love it, really good idea to get one, have fun.

Haha, good choice IonizemyAtoms, Neutral Milk Hotel was the first band I thought of when I read this post.

Another good NMH song to learn is Engine.

It's rediculously simple and slow, but when paired with the lyrics, simply cannot be beat. If you want to pick up girls, get to learnin' some of their songs.

Try Stone Temple Pilots - Plush. Listen to the MTV Unplugged version.

It was the first song I learned to play. Pretty easy.

Hurt by Cash oooh yeah!

Could do Nothing Else Matters by Metallica acoustic...sounds pretty sexy when my mate does it

Hallelujah - Jeff Buckley (simple and poetic)
Cryin - Roy Orbison (simple and strong)

leonard cohen - bird on a wire, you know who i am, story of isaac, so long marriane, stories of the street.

bob dylan! - to many to list.

any jack johnson song.

any trio los panchos if you like spanish music.

Half of Bob Dylan's music is mostly simple folk songs

Seu Jorge's adaptations of David Bowie's songs for The Life Aquatic - there's something awesome about listening to an acoustic version of Bowie in Portugese
