We've all heard the g-man is an alien rumour, but what about someone else being an alien:

Think of the opening speach of HL² "The right man in the wrongplace can make all the difference in the world": The right man being gordon the wrong place being earth, perhaps gordon is an alien under monitoring by the government and BMRF was just a cover and City17 is a further test of his ability to out do other humans....sorry if this theory has been brought up before search function sucks!

The right man in the wrong place refers to Black Mesa, Gordon would have easily rathered he wasn't at Black Mesa during the incident but in the end he made a hell of alot of difference. He was simply the right man in the wrong place.

Gordon is just the right guy (seems to kill everyone) in the wrong place (Black Mesa, City 17) and he does change alot.

I've sometimes thought the implication of "right man in the wrong place" may be that the G-Man likes to keep Gordon - the right man - busy, away from the "right place": City 17 is the "Wrong Place": if he'd been somewhere else, that would have made "all the difference in the world".

Though I don't like to think that the G-Man is screwing me that much
