Aw i know that (!) its just that ... well... he looks funny. Cool though, he looks like one of my colleagues at work. But that waist. Man.. he is an alien. Gordon is an alien! Yes, like a wet suit designed for someone else. Actually his crotch is higher up, and whats under there is water. He just fought a water-monster of some kind. Look at his glasses, they are dimmed as well from all the humidity.

And come to think of it i (as Gordon) never went to the toilet once while fighting the aliens. Theres not one toilet in the game, no wonder. Its extra room for ... well you know (hmm...ill better locate my gaming diapers when HL2 comes out *i have them specially designed*).

We cant see the hole where you attach that hose thingy from the suit charger (remember?) Thats what its for... that charger. empty the mini septic tank in his crotch general area.
