Got server command?

What command goes into the server.cfg to add text to the big black bilboard thing?..? You know the one that the client sees after connecting to the server.

Where the server rules and chit goes..

That's your message of the day and its content lives in a file called motd.txt - poke around and you should see it in your server's /hl2mp directory.

It's actually an HTML file, so depending on your level of comfort with HTML you can get pretty creative with it - including adding images etc. - but keep the file sizes reasonable.

Hey thanks. I found this out before I checked back. But I appreciate the response. I am very weak at html... very.. But I figured out the hex colors for background and letters. Also put a link in there.

One thing though... I did not have a motd anywhere in my valve directory... strange. But I created it and all is good now.
