got the game - first post - please could you help ?

Hi I'm a Petrol head but received my copy of HL2 from ATI today.

I wish to play this on a PC not connected to the internet - can it be done - or can you point me to the info that helps me to do this

Nope, sorry, can't be done. You must connect to the Internet on that PC to activate your game. After that you would be able to play in Offline Mode (if it works).

As diluted says, it isn't possible as such.

It will require at least one connection to the internet to activate the product. After this the game will run in offline mode and you should never need to conncet to the internet again.

i never have problems with offline mode. then again, i keep a backup of client_registry.blob like the instructions say
