I've been looking at all the cool grafitti throughot the levels, and noticing the same theme. The CP's in full uniform, doing humane, gentle things.

I have a theroy in this. The Resistance realises that these empowered men and women know not what they do. They were once normal, scared people, who saw only one choice. To voulenteer for a mind wipe and be promoted to a CP (This is mentioned over the loudspeaker in the train station). The grafitti artists know that somewhere in the twisted skull of a CP, is still a human being. One who was once capable of love, charity, and humanity.

One day, they may be able to bring these people back.

oh but yeah, your theory is very cool, and probably the truth :p though we still have to shoot them along the game :x

Haha. Chaotic you made me laugh out loud because of the response and the nature of the first post. That was great xD

But anyway, yeah. Like that picture with the CP holding the baby, does anyone know what the words next to it say? It's like that "gang" writing and I can't really make it out

You ****er, Chaotic. ;p

Yeah, looks like 'Caste' to me. But it might just be an artist's tag. Either way, those are really cools tags. I'm gonna see if I cant import them to use as my spray in DoD. ;p

I think that that graffiti as well as the one showing an ape, a human and a combine are not sprayed by the resistance. The baby one is probably more propaganda - the Combine are nice, will care for your children (well, everyone's sterile anyway). Same goes for the other one, which basically states that as humans are next after apes, combine are next after humans.

The graffitis that are of Combine are surely that BORN one, the RESIST one...

Everyone in City 17 has been sterilised (can't spell this one), as in can't have children anymore.

Really? I was under the impression that the Combine wanted to keep the humans as slaves. But this kinda enforces my theory of Earth simply being a borderuniverse the Combine have to travel through to get to their final goal. No humans, no sweat! :D

No, if you've finished the game, then I believe it shows you that Combine are preparing Earth for something. Or maybe they allow reproduction somewhere in another city, on a smaller scale. Though I doubt they would really have a problem if there were no humans anymore. After they use up all the resources on Earth.

I've finished the game, but what do you mena by "it shows you that Combine are preparing Earth for something"? Obviously they were preparing it for something, as they were completely changing Earth by draining its resources, emptying the seas, enslaving the ruling race and ****ing up just about everything. But I just think that the human race and Earth is simply an obstacle, and enslaving them is just a step taken to simplify the complete eradication of humans.

Yeah, though that eradication probably isn't the goal itself, maybe a means to achieve it, as you say. Or a side effect. Remember, Breen says, "I can still deliver Earth", which means that the Combine alien wanted something more to happen, which at the time hadn't happened.

Good point. I heard a theory saying the Combine advisor he is talking to as you ascend in the elevator has telepatic abilities (which is actually written in "Raising the Bar") and is controlling Breen to think this is better for humans. Maybe he was doing that somehow already before the Black Mesa incident, as Breen is suspiciously supportive of the experiment in contrast to the other scientists who practically all are sceptical. This would also explain how he, a scientist from Black Mesa became the acting leader of Earth, and not some guy who already had power, e.g. some president / military commander which actually could order the human soldiers to stop fighting.
