Hacks?

Was wondering what types of hacks are available in the HL2 Deathmatch.

I have noticed at times where someone might be using Aim bot, dont know if its truly a hack in HL2 though, then last night I noticed someone with weird middle eastern written name on the server I thought was hacking to. Only 3 of us in the server, 1 person was with me on vent but we were all having a FFA, the person with the odd name everytime he killed the other person with a ball from the gun that shoots the bouncy ball and kills my friend, I would get detonated by a mine the split moment, it happened several times, not to mention this person was some how able to set trip wire mines on another map that didnt send off a laser, the entire time during the games played which was 2 maps, We were spammed with [[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[['s or whatever and constant bots which was annoying. like any cheaters on FPS games when they are called out, they tend to stop cheating and are rather easy to kill for a while before they take up the act again. Oh not to mention my friend shoots a bouncy ball at this person, DIES from his own ball, and the other person is credited with the kill....sounds like hacking is very possible in this game.

the squares is just a byproduct of having a name that has special characters in it

and the way he died from his own cball was that the other guy primary fired it with his ggun and it switched ownership to HIM, then your friend accidently ran into the ball (which was in his ggun) and it killed him.



and I haven't seen a hack in this game for over a year, and the only ones I've found are on like one popular server where everyone in the game just laughs at them because they can't even get a kill and manage like a 4:20 ratio lol

Bullet don't talk about things you don't understand, you'll make yourself look stupid.

Firstly, yes there are cheats for most online games, and if you play on dodgy little unsecure servers you are likely to come across cheats. However, the secure servers which run VAC (Valve Anti-cheat) prevent about 99% of cheaters through and ban their account from playing on secure servers. Therefore, look for 'secure' servers only. The members here do not support cheating, in fact we detest it, it's just your attitude is far too agressive.

Anyhow...

But if 1 server can have hacks then all of them can.

I hope what I said above explains why what you said isn't true. Also if you come across someone with a crazy name like that, spamming random characters in chat, and apparently cheating...leave the server. It's pretty easy, and guess what? There's thousands more servers to play on!
