So I was googleing, "How to Hack" as you do, and I found this uber site.
www.hackthissite.org Its really good its got aload of training missions, where you learn how to crack different security messures. The whole political thing their is cool too, its got loads of quotes at the top, and the whole site has a radical atmosphere. This is definatley a site to check out.

Really though you can laern and its really intresting, and teaches you alot about javascript and such, in a fun enviroment. Damn thoose basic missions are hard though.

No its a massive community, fantastic just ign up (only takes a minute) then try the basic missions. Go on the forums if you get stuck.

http://www.happyhacker.org is also a good site. Caroline Mineil used to work for DARPA. She knows her stuff and one heck of a nice lady. Defender of the electronic frontier.
