I tried to find the LATEST Half life 1 and Opposing force patches.. but what happenens is after i install it i get.. "Your Exectueable is out of date" so i click ok.. then it goes to Sierra updater.. it updates it and i go on muiltplayer again "Your exectueable is out of date" Me = -_-

Can sum1 give me a link to the LATEST patch!

Why don't you try Steam? It automatically updates the game to the most recent version.

Steam hasnt noticed Opposing force and Half life 1 (The Oringal not Source version) How do i get it to notice it?

P.S I installed it b4 Steam got installed

"Steam" > "Play Games" > "Browse Games..." > "Register a product I already own..."

Yeah, it doesn't find your old installation, because now everything installs under the Steam directory. You can delete your old installation now, because Steam doesn't use it, and it will just be a waste of diskpace.

ahh my 200 mb drives can handle that.. Anyway can the HD models that came with Blue shift be compatible with this?

You have to manually put them in I believe. I dun know but I believe I got it to work on mine real real easy...not exactly sure how.

I did it.. I played all of the Muiltplayer.. I have to say i am AMAZED, Counter strike, the oringal is different than Source in a number of ways.. and Deathmatch classic is my new game :) hope it gets ported to source :D

I found the Seam version of HL to have a lot more annoying bugs than the original had. The most noticeable was that when you were on an elevator going downwards (or any surface lowering beneith you), you had to duck-jump to be able to get off of it. This killed me a few times in that prat in residue processing where you have to jump between the 3 piston-like platforms where you get crushed if you move too slowly.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that this became an issue well before Steam came along, back when patches were distributed via download sites. Yes, it was never an issue when the game was first released, but I think it became an issue about the time that Blue Shift was released - it is mentioned in some Blue Shift reviews (I think it was Gamespy's, but that has disappeared off the face). Blue Shift predates Steam...

Sierra updated....god, that was ages ago. I can hardly remember the headaches that damn program gave me...always took forever to download a patch, so I'd go searching for it online, wait 30 min-2 hrs in que for the file......*sigh* I love you Steam.
