I dont know if this has been discussed, I tried a search, but nothing came up. Today at work I was thinking about how cool it would be to have HL2 action figures. Take a look at the Todd McFarlan line of figures, especially the matrix ones, and I think youll agree that they can be made pretty cool. Just think about how nice they would look next to your monitor while you play the actual game. The characters would be perfect to make figures for. Obviously, there could be gordon in his HEV suit, with crowbar, pistol, H&K PDW, shotgun, etc... Alyx would be cool too, she could have the wrench that shes holding in the artwork, and maybe dog(whatever the hell it will look like, im pretty sure it will be bad ass) would come with her. The G-Man would be good, he could have his briefcase, and it could open and show maybe a folder on gordon and a pistol w/ spare magazines. A couple different enemies would also be very cool to own. A combine soldier, antlion, maybe even a "mini" strider, similar to the sentinal or APU matrix figures. I think even a goofy scientist like Kleiner would be funny to see. What do you guys think about it?

If Todd McFarlan made HL2 figures I would seriously...do something...to explain my exictement in great detail, I guess.

But it would be awesome.

haha, i would put a barbi apron on the G-Man..."Weeeve beeeenn rather buusy baking brownies forr you MR. FREEEMAN....

Wow, looking at the Todd McFarlan matrix figures, I've decided, I WAN'T THAT 12" APU RIGHT NOW!!!

I dont understand why people like action figures so much. I mean if you want you want to play with action figures, at least play with G.I Joes...

They'd make neat little desk decorations or something... as long as they aren't too big.

lol I see that A.P.U. .. Its cooooolll..

heh, I thought you meant Apu Nahassapeemapetelon from the Simpsons :P

yeah, my friend has one of the APU's. i highly recommend them. theyre incredibly detailed, and theyre what inspired my idea about the strider and how it is possible.

The shrek models are brilliant!, the 6 inch ones, and super sized.

and please dont say im the only one who thinks a CG character is sexy, lol ... Oh Fiona,, ... ~ :P.. please ,...

Meh, I don't want these damn action figures, I want a 30 CM resinkit of a Combine cop :D

I like models more than action figures lol, they're always more detailed ;)

I want Adrian Shepard.

PCV's are so much cooler than the HEV suit!

i havn't bought an action figure since i was a kid, but i remember how fun they were (TMNT anyone?). hl2 action figures sound pretty cool, and would make a really bad ass desk addition.

and to the few who are bashing action figures... well don't you remember being a kid? or are you too "mature" for that now that you're 13 years old? that's what i thought.

I didn't bash action figures, I just said I'd prefer a resin kit.:P

Seeing as they're more detailed ussually, and I model for a hobby I'd find more joy in a model than action figure, I'd buy an action figure too, as long as it was was 15+CM but I prefer models.

jeez!

I reckon both would be cool... the huge action figures that you find in EB, and those resin model kits. The Predator one rocked.

Hmmmm....Maybe the Nihilant or the 3-headed animal (or plant...) of HL in XXL size would be great as a deco for my new living room.

TM's action figures are «mature», thats why they're great, but i guess Gordon Freeman's head in a real-size bust like they did with Gollum would be greater.

It'd be really cool making your own Combine troopers vs Gordon and Co in a couple of C-17 houses..

BTW, the Movie Maniacs Alien Vs Predator toys are exteremely cool and detailed.. Me wanna !!

These aren't just action figures.... they're works of art. Man there are so many i'd love to buy, like the T-100, The Thing ones, Edward Scissorhands, Predator, Aliens... so cool!!!

id buy them all.
then id have my friends over and we'd play aliens vs humans
rawwwwwr

sry, i wasn't inferring you at all. i should have said person instead of "few people".

i personally have the todd macfarlane Alien queen and chestburster victim model sitting on top of my comp. monitor.

it is hella sweet

the queen alone is like 24 inches long from snout to end of tail.

The chestburster victim is stuck to a wall and has a plunger poking out of her back hidden by the wall. pushing the plunger makes a little chestburster come out of her chest

oh and i seriously want that APU

As for bashing action figures...my my my, those people must not know the joy of giving in to their inner child.

A few years ago i realized how much i enjoyed having figurines. So now i have a Vash the stampede from Trigun standing on top of my mini fridge, Kanada from Akira riding his motorcycle on my printer,The William Birkin monster from Resident Evil 2 next to Kaneda, the aforementioned alien queen on my monitor, 2 old hasbro aliens action figures, and 2 7inch mechwarrior figurines on my desk. I still want more shit, makes my room more badasser.

action figures are a very cool addition to a room. i want valve to make action figures so bad.

Quite, I want action figures!

A foot high strider would be cool.

I eMailed Gabe and asked him about the possibility of such a thing... we'll have to see if he has time to answer...

cool brian damage, i was going to myself, but i didnt find the time, and i thought he wouldnt respond. oh well, lets hope he does.

I hope he does... thing is, I also gave him about 4 other questions... and every time I've given him more than one he hasn't replied...

i emailed him once, and he didnt reply. i have some more ideas for emails, but ill just leave him be and wait patiently.........aw **** this is taking too long. i want to play now.

a g-man action figure sounds atrcting to me.. or a gordon with the crowbar.. *drools*

don't waste your time emailing Valve. Do something productive instead ... like emailing Strongbad.

Dr. Freeman, one time i saw trent reznor. he actually grew up in a town right near mine. nearly everyone i know from my home town is connected to him or knows him through family or friends. its a pretty small area.

i think Trent is a musical god.. it be quite something to meet him in person.. but eh.. doesn't look like i'll get that chance any time soon..

yeah, he is quite amazing. when i saw him he was in staples(funny seeing the man there). i walked in and saw him, but i immediatly froze up. on his way out i went to the door and called out trent, but by that time he was getting in his car. oh well, ill probably end up seeing him again. hes always in town near the holidays i hear.
