hey ppl, well i just got the game and it installed and works sweet which is awesome but theres one lil problem. u kno the NPCs and pretty much every other human in the game who's eyes u can see? well when i look at the NPCs they just have gray balls for eyes. not like human and colorful like in the official site's screenshots, but just gray balls. im guessing that a file may be kinda screwed or sumthing, anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong? if u want i can post up sum screenshots, actually thats what ill do after i finish this so any help will be greatly appreciated :D
peace

This won't cut it, I'm afraid.
You need a dedicated graphic card instead of a built-in one.
Validating the files is done by clicking this link : steam://validate/220
You could try changing to DirectX 8.1 mode. Look at "Force DXlevel" on the bottom of this article for help on that. (Link)

My laptop has the same IGP. It's not very good and definatly isn't good for playing any 3D game made it the past 3-4 years. Mine doesn't even run AvP2 properly.

I had the same problem. I have only and ATI RADEON 7500. But if you go into the options menu (in HL2) into the video setup and set details to high you should get eyes with papillae. This worked for me at least. When I realised it I had played the game through 2 times :-(
