Half Life 2 Chapter Summary (Spoilers)

WARNING Before reading on, please take note that this may contain Spoilers!

Point Insertion - Gordon Freeman arrives weaponless and without the HEV suit, he soon meets up with old friend Barney Calhoun, who has infiltrated Civil Protection Services for the resistance.

A Red Letter Day - Gordon Freeman goes free roaming, sometimes observing Civil Protection using their authority to harm civilians, while roaming Gordon meets up with Alyx Vance (Daughter of Dr Eli Vance) who then takes him to Dr Isaac Kleiner, (Gordons MIT mentor and colleague. Dr Kleiner Attempts to teleport Gordon to Eli's Lab in Black Mesa East, but Kleiner's pet Headcrab Lemaar jumps from a vent and wrecks the teleportation machine, thus sending Gordon through to many locations, Including to the Office of Dr Breen, who as soon as he realises who just teleported in and out of his office, alerts the combine. With the machine broken and Combine on full alert, Gordon is forced to find another way to the Eli's lab. Oh yay, Before you leave Barney stands above you on a balcony and wishes you luck, but before you go he throws an old companion your way, Trusty ol' Crowbar!

Route Kanal - As Gordon navigates his way through the city's canals, Gordon finds Resistance camps where both Humans and Vortigaunts (Who are now allies) who help Gordon along his way through the railway systems. Gordon is eventually Provided an "Air Boat" which allows him to travel through more canals and easier access to the Black Mesa Facility where Eli and a successfully teleported Alyx vance are waiting for Gordon's arrival.

Water Hazard - As Gordon travel through the canals Gordon becomes aware that the combine are outposted along the canal sides, not allowing Gordon to continue travelling with door mechanisms Gordon must dismount the Air Boat and enter these facilities destroying all combine in your way and opening the gates allowing you access. Eventually Gordon comes into contact with a Combine Assault Helicopter which makes his travels through the remainder of the canals a living nightmare, Gordon arrives at a resistance base and a vortigaunt attaches a weapon to the Air boat that is capable of destroying the Helicopter, checkmate Combine!

Black Mesa East - Gordon FINALLY reaches Black Mesa East where he meets Dr Judith Mossman, After being welcomed by both Judith and Eli, you are taken to play with your new toy the Gravity Gun as you throw around some bins and boxes and play with Alyx's pet "Dog" a robot built by Eli to protect Alyx, the facility comes under combine attack and you are forced to escape through some tunnels that lead you to a dreaded place called Ravenholm..

We Don't Go To Ravenholm.. - Gordon wanders through some tunnels and eventually reaches Ravenholm, instantly becoming aware why this place was abandoned. As you continue through the eerily dark and twisted town full of zombies and headcrabs Gordon meets a man called Father Grigori a Slightly insane priest wielding a gun! he eventually supplies you with a weapon that makes every Demon, Zombie and Soilder cry in terror... The Shotgun. Gordon is constantly under attack from zombies and headcrabs but under the careful eye of Father Grigori taking out zombies as he can and guiding Gordon to safety, you finally escape the actually town of Ravenholm only to be confronted with a Cemetery full of Zombies and Headcrabs!! happy days. you destroy all you see and eventually find your way to a mine entrance, as you walk away you hear Father Grigori laughing insanely as he is surrounded by Zombies and the area around him engulfed in flame.

Highway 17 - After making his way out of the mines, Gordon finds yet another resistance base under assault from Combine soilders, Alyx informs Gordon that Eli has been taken and sent to the dreaded Nova Prospekt, a Combine High Security Prison. You are given a Dune Buggy by the Resistance and yet again you travel, this time across a wide spreading beautiful coast, confronting both combine, aliens and a new friend called the Antlion that make you travels much harder than they should be as you travel to Lighthouse point.

Sandtraps - After a long and perilous drive you finally reach the resistance camp called Lighthouse Point, finally relaxing for the slightest moment, you are attacked by assault helicopters and waves of Combine soilders, after breaking through the resistance of combine soilders you must now continue your journey to Nova Prospekt on Foot, where Antlions lay under ground waiting for someone to come near for them to unburrow and attack, you must travel across this desert like area only to reach a creepy area thats much too quiet. you enter the "Sandtrap" and are confronted with an enormous Antlion Guard, after battling with it and a swarm of antlions you make your way to a resistance barracks where you are given the very handy Bugbait and gland filled with pheromones that allows the Ant lions to be under your control.

Nova Prospekt - As you reach the prison Nova Prospekt, Gordon begins looking for clues that may give away Eli's whereabouts, the bugbait allows Gordon to even up the odds with his own army of Antlions.

Entanglement - Gordon breaks free of the prisons walls, and joins up with Alyx Vance as you both search for not only Eli Vance but Dr Mossman as well who is apparently a Combine Agent. While Gordon is distracted by a Combine assault, Dr Mossman teleports Eli and herself away to the Citadel, the Combines main base of Operations. Gordon and Alyx barely manage to teleport to Dr Kleiner's Lab before the Teleporter explodes.

Anticitizen One - A malfunction with the teleporter causes Alyx and Gordon to arrive at Dr Kleiners Lab, but only a week later O.O! Gordon's struggle against the combine has brought the resistance new life, plunging City 17 into utter chaos. Resistance fighters help Gordon travel to the citadel while Alyx helps Dr Kleiner escape the lab.

Follow Freeman - After rescuing Barney who has been pinned down by snipers, Gordon shuts down a suppressor field that once blocked the way to the citadel, A pack of incredibly powerful machines called Striders, attack until they are finally destroyed by RPG fire.

Our Benefactors - Gordon enters the citadel through underground tunnels only to be faced with a dead end, Gordon is forced to enter a rail driven containment system that is used to transport transformed humans called Stalkers around the citadel. All of Gordons weapons are destroyed by a Dark Energy Confiscation field that destroys all your weapons , yet don't fear, for it upgrades your gravity gun, allowing it to manipulate organic matter and make combine go SPLAT again hard surfaces. yay! Armed with this new weapon Gordon wreaks havoc upon the citadel until yet again faced with another containment system this one transporting Gordon to the feet of Dr Mossman and Dr Breen who are talking with Eli Vance.

Dark Energy - While Immobilised Dr Breen takes Gordon's Gravity Gun and summons the arrival of Alyx vance who is being contained in a Stalker Lock Up Unit. As Breen threatens Gordon, Eli and Alyx, Dr Mossman turns against Breen and Breen is now forced to run like a little girl, but not before causing a major blast with the Gravity Gun and destroying the room with a bright light, next thing you know Breen is gone and you are being freed by Mossman, Alyx and Gordon pursue Breen as he makes his way to a massive teleporter that will allow Breen access to the Combine homeworld. You instantly become aware that Gordon must now destroy the teleporter, Gordon climbs to the top of the tower to a balcony the portal begins to open, as time is ticking you begin flinging unstable dark energy balls at the teleporter, the teleporter begins to self destruct, Alyx comes running out and suggests that they may still have enough time to escape... only to witness the beggining of the core explosion. As Gordon is about to give up, time stops around him, and a familiar voice enters the scenario, Gordon is then confronted with "The Gman" again entering Gordon into stasis.. or so he thinks.
 
I will be making another one for HL1 and Ep 1 and 2 just wanted to see if ya'll like it first
