hi im new to these forums and i was wondering if half-life 2 and mods will run without to much lag on my copmuter it has a proccesing speed of 1133 mhz. I dont know what the graphics card is because this is my brothers computer. ive played the demo for half life 2 and it worked ok with lag and some parts like in raven holm when there was a fan moving. it wountend let me change and of the video options it would just got to a window and say that there was an error do you wish to send. ask me if i wasent clear on somthing.

You weren't clear about basic use of the English language. Can I ask you about that?

If you struggle with some bits of Ravenholm there will be quite a few bits of the game that you will also struggle on. It's pretty intensive.

well sorry about my engilish;I normaly dont proof read my posts. Well i was wondering if i put it in a window or if i but the shodowing to low maybe it would run more effisently. Also does it crash when I try to change the setting because its the demo or is it that my computers a peice of crap?

HL2 retail will perform same as the Demo. Try lowering all settings to minimum or none if you can and play HL2 Demo and notice performance changes and that's how Retail version will perform.

Good Luck.

Thank you but when ever i try to change settings the game crashs what should i do?

Maybe your graphics card is incompatible with HL2? Games have been known to run unsupported cards with slow/unstable performance.

Go to Start, Run, and type in "dxdiag"(without the quotes). Wait until the small green bar at the bottom of the new window fills up, then tell us what's written in the "System Model", "Processor", and "Memory" fields. Then click on the Display tab and tell us what's written in the "Name" field. Then we can get a rough idea of your PC's power which'll really help us help you.

in system model it says "265243U" in the proccesser it says "intel(R) pentium(R) III Mobile CPU 1133Mhz" in the memory it says"254MB RAM" and in the display name feild it says"ATI Mobility Radeon" note that my brother dosent use this computer for gaming.

Also, your graphics card and RAM are the bare minimum required to run the game. I doubt you'll get any playable frame rates without making the game look like HL1.

how do i check my frame rates? its actully not that bad with a crappy 1133mhz it still plays with slow frame rate every once in a while.
