Hdr In Sp

Hey, i know that with valve's recent update to the SDK, you can add HDR to maps. i was wondering if anyone would be interested in Adding HDR lighting to all the Single player maps in half life 2? i know that a mod or two have added bloom... but i'm talking full out HDR.

Off course HDR in SP would be cool but...

Conclusion...If you want something...do it your f*cking self...And even then there are no certainties...

I'm not willing to give you HDR in HL2SP (Even if I wanted I couldn't) just because you want it and ask for it. That would make you spoiled

FYI... i have tried on several occasions to get hdr... even bloom to work in half life 2 singleplayer. but i have been unsucsessful.. i was merely asking if anyone was interested in doing this, as im sure im not the only one looking to play half life 2 over again when episode 2 comes out... and HDR would make it more the worthwile.
Ah well.... i guess this thread will just die out after this post.... but maybe sometime soon.. I or someone else will figure out how to do it.

btw.. I am in no way spoiled.. I am not going to go into details of my life.. but... Sure its not nearly as bad as a lot of people in the world.. but im definitely far from spoiled.

About Bloom for HL2....there's a MOD that incorporates it in HL2...You can download via steam -I think-

It's easy, all you need is time.
Problem Nr. 1:

Note: Half-Life 2 and mods with pre-August 06 SDK code don't support HDR

Ergo: We must create a new HDR HL2 mod.
Problem Nr. 2:
Where the hell can we get all HL2 maps? I'm not sure, but I doubt VALVe allow to use their maps, which aren't a part of SDK.
Okay, VALVe is good to us and say, we can use them.
Problem Nr. 3:
We have to decompile all maps to .vmf files. We do it.
Problem Nr. 4:
The SDK doesn't like our vmf files.
Problem Nr. 6:
We need HDR skyboxes.
Problem Nr. 5:
The result is crappy.

Hmm still havent gotten this thing working.. i have given up.
I tried decompressing the Vmt files for one of the SDK Maps, adding an hdr pass... then recompressing (Which took several hours).
but the map ended up all being white....
now i couldn't quite make the regular hl2 maps work.. as something was wrong when i was recompiling the .bsp


Unfortunately, i know of no way to get HDR or even bloom for that matter working in SP.
Anyone that has any workarounds etc, please post here.

CAN SOMEONE FIX THE BUG IN THIS MOD? THE LATEST RELEASES OF HL2 RUINED IT... IT IS 3.5 MEGS....

Some of you guys know how to mod//code stuff so plz fix it...
