HDR mod?

I read news on this site a while back and it was talking about a mini-mod and reading the description of HDR it sounded like pritty much the same thing, no I am not getting mixed up with an anouncement for HDR.

Are you talking about the Bloom mod that came out awhile ago? That was just a little proggie that added bloom effects to the lighting, and not much else. But the HDR from Valve is going to come out eventually and looks very cool.

And will probably require a 5.0 Ghz zOMGThreading Processor, an ATI Radeon X1600 (50 parallell pipelines with 2 gig of video ram) , 4 gig ram and a cute puppy.

Remember the ORIGINAL min. specs of HL2? 800 Mhz --> 2.0 Ghz 64MB --> 128 MB 256MB RAM --> 512 MB RAM

Correct me if I'm wrong though. I'm just trying to make a point

I think I heard min. specs are something like a 3.2 CPU, 1 gb of RAM, and at least an x800 or 6800.

The mod just added a filter in it that made EVERYTHING bloom... That is not even close to being HDRI

The Lost Coast levels wont just add HDR, but insanley high levels of detail on everything.
