TBH I despise the press the button when it's shown on screen type of gameplay/cinematics. I hated it in RE4, in Tomb raider legend, tomb raider anniversary, GoW and Fahrenheits/indigo prophecy.

However I do not mind it when it's always the same combinations, which makes it more of a help for a combo then anything random, like in some instances in GOW. And in instances when it feels natural, again I use GoW as an example, when you put the minotaurs on their back and you have to press numerous times to drive your blade in them.

Graphics are awesome. And their facial expressions when they talk look pretty realistic too. Can't really comment on mouth movements because the sound was out of sync for me

Dude, God of War was just a clone of Castlevania 64.

Just because it is a beautiful 3D action adventure with great combat and story you think its a God of War clone?? Lose that mentality and start enjoying the games!!!

I've seen this game running on the PS3 demos in stores as well. Looks interesting for like 20 seconds, then you realize that is what you do the entire game.

Painfully boring and repetitive tbh.


I'd put a couple quarters in it at an arcade if there was nothing better to play, but at least they've got some games coming. I used to like these games so much when I was younger.

I haven't played the game, but it looks interesting thou, hopefully the demo will come out soon so I can try it, the feed back from the people that played the game at the E3 was very positive though...

Of course. After SEGA quit, there was no one else to compete.

Nintendo took to long to the market. Too little too late with the Gamecube to be the market leader.


And Microsoft came way late. Things have changed though.

Honestly, you guys need to check out more additional footage from gametrailers.com becuase it looks friggin amazing. It is now in my top 5 most wanted PS3 games and it wasn't until just this morning when I watched some merciless slaughter before work. Very cool stuff.

Oh, and it HAS to be better than the Bouncer because that was really quite terrible.

I'm liking the look of this too. DMC4, Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Heavenly Sword make this a good time to be a 3d adventure/beat-em-up fan

I guess you haven't seen or read about all the other gameplay elements that differentiate it from GoW then?? Do yourself a favor and check out all of the trailers on gametrailers.com and read IGN's recent impressions of it. You may just change your mind. I mean, its a 3D action platformer with great combat so that makes it a GoW clone? What about a Castlevania 64 clone??? :rolling:
