Help?

Hey guys. To start things off, I can't seem to find any servers on any steam related game. I'm pretty sure my internet is connected to steam, but everytime I try to search servers on half life 2 deathmatch, nothing ever pops up, with the error message of "can't connect to master server". I also tried turning off my firewall while searching random servers on the steam browser, but still nothing pops out, including servers for other games. Any suggestions guys?

Are you are sure you've let Steam through on your windows firewall & Mcafee?

If so try forwarding these ports manually through your router:

Steam Client

* UDP 27000 to 27015 inclusive (Game client traffic)
* UDP 27015 to 27030 inclusive (Typically Matchmaking and HLTV)
* TCP 27014 to 27050 inclusive (Steam downloads)
* UDP 4380

I've let HL2 and Steam get onto my exceptions list on Mcafee already. And wait, in addition to Mcafee, I've got another firewall you say? I'll check that out and the ports.

Used the ports and just realized windows firewall and mcafee firewall are the same. Apparently it still says: Cannot connect to master server...... I give up. Screw it, I'm restarting my computer and reinstalling everything. Even turned off my firewall and still doesn't work. I'll give a status report once I finish.....
