We've been busy bunnies! We didn't release a media update last monday, breaking the weekly cycle we'd fallen into... To make up for it, We have been working our fingers to the bone implementing the full range of 617's abilities...

To prove this, I provide you with a video that quickly demonstrates pinning bodies in action via the link HERE. Note the video is compressed using Xvid, so either have the codec or grab VLC player, the greatest video player of all time.

What are you seeing in the video? Not only the new Hidden HUD and Hidden hands, but also a showcase of some of his new skills; picking up items and corpses, clinging to walls and pinning corpses to any old surface! It should quite nicely accompany the screenshots posted in the thread HERE. I apologise for the utterly cheesy music, but it's somewhat better than silence, somewhat...

For some more information on what's going to make an appearance in Beta 2 and an upcoming Beta 1B update, take a look at this forum thread.

I'll try and get some footage from the marines viewpoint to show off their fancy new HUD and what it looks like when 617 steals a corpse from before your very eyes! The work continues, but we are starting to look feature full now, not long...
 
Just had a look at all your forum posts over there. I played this a couple of weeks back; it looks to be progressing well...

Im on the animator and i havnt seen this build on my macihne yet *craves*. Beta2 is gonna rock the house down

What version of DirectX does your GFX card support?

The contrasting light direction makes the bump mapping stand out loads and the model looks pretty pro that way. Hats off to Ed, John and Boxy for that stroke of awesomeness, remember those names, they'll be in the back of a manual near you soon!
 
Looks nice. Are you going to do anything about people changing the hiddens skin to make it easily visible? That kinda ruins the whole game. :(
 
That was fixed in the alst release. There are rumours of ppl still making it happen tho. The next release has added security
