Hey any admin free to move this thread i didn't really know which section to put it in.

ANYWAYS!

in that one part of EP1 when that guy on the other side of a door is like "Hey, over here!", and then you follow him with alyx to the room with a bunch of resistance all watching the T.V. where Kleiner is speaking [also Alyx says "wow. is doctor kleiner really trying to get us to... you know..."(have mad butsecks lol)]. keep on watching the TV and kliener says something along the lines of "we are constantly training new individuals for support" mayber hinting at the portal girl?
anyways, i have some pics of where its at on my other PC, so ill happily post em' up if someone is still having trouble finding it.

so what do you guys think? i found it a little fishy :eek:

"we are constantly training new individuals for support"

i missed the significance of that sentence in ep1. but i think that relation with portal, is a little too far-......................fetched.

The resistance - unlike Aperture - are not quite so sadistic and tormenting, I don't think.

but perhaps they are connected to aperture, but they don't know whats going on under the surface. thats my guess anyways.

I tell you what reminds me off Portal in Episode One:

After you done that elevator sequence in the citadel, with all the flying debris, you enter a white room (which where a loading point is, then changes to the chapter "Direct Intervention"). All the time, that room reminds me off Portal.

are you trying to suggest that the aperture center was built by the combine? ;) that room does look somewhat like the videos of portal...

ooo, maybe the chick is sent to kill gordon and alyx by the gman, and the-
jk

Gman=Aperture.

I'm leaning that way too--simply because we're supposed to hear a great deal about both G-Man and Aperture in Ep. 2, and uh how much time could there possibly be for expository material on two unrelated topics in a single expansion pack. They have to be related. And given the G-Man's history with"training" Gordon at Balck Mesa, well, it just seems to follow...

Episode 2 isn't an expansion pack though, so I'm not sure how much they intend to tell in that sense. But you've a good point, and that's certainly my reasoning.

Nah, I think Gordon's going to be back in GMans control soon. I think they broke Gordon out too soon IMO.

V-Man ridiculing the name

Half Life Episode 2: Attack of the Hunters.
:D

wait wait.. i thought Portal was just a random game for us to play. Are you guys tryin 2 tell me that valve has actually designed portal as a side story to HL?!

Another possible G-Man/ Aperture link can be seen in the ancient computer monitor on G-Man's desk. Who else do we know who uses dated computer equipment?

Possibly, already mentioned...

EDIT: Come to think of it, though, old-style computer monitors are found throughout HL2, aren't they...

Hmmm.

Gman=Aperture.

That's what they want you to think! I bet valve purposely mislead us to believe that gman has a connection with AS, but it was lammar all along! No wonder he keeps running off!

damn that lammar... lol wouldnt that be funny if the way the HL2 series ended was lammar somehow pushed something onto something else that started a chain reaction that eventually blew earth up, and XEN and all that other good stuff.

no, nevermind.

G-man appears to have mastered portals....Only his are rectangular door shaped ones...(scratches chin)
I hope that the story in Portal is as engaging as that of the HL series...If it is it should be an amazing game as well as amazing fun!

Where was the article that links HL and Portals? I never read it.
