Hitman blood money save issues

has anyone noticed that they save system in this game is completly funked? If you exit the game while in the middle of a mission, you will lose all your progress and have to start the mission over. This is very frustrating because each mission can take up to 5 hours, which is time that I don't have. Hopefully they will release a patch that fixes this major flaw.
