What ever happened to breaking decent commands out to help us with this engine?

it's a bit naff that guide actually basically covers how what settings to use in the advanced video settings - dosn't really cover anything you couldn't already get via 5 minutes trial and error or from experience of your system/card
what i wanna know is how do i get stop translucent objects from fading out when there are like 10 feet away - anybody know how to set this to like 25-30 feet

I appreciate the thanks from all who gave it. While many people seem to always have problems, Tweakguides.com has gotten me thorough everything without a hitch. Following tweakguides easy-to-follow Windows XP Guide and 'System Optimzation Guide for Gamers', my computers and game installs always work flawlessly.

I too was shocked more than anyone when he said he never played Half-Life 1 - Some things in life are best unsaid. Still, his knowledge of tweaking games and explanations and presentation on exactly how to do it is unsurpassed.

I hope this guide will help the members here who are wise enough to partake.
