Hl2 and Ep1 updates

Ok, so is the computer version of Half Life 2 and Episode 1 ever going to get the graphics and upgrades they deserve from episode 2, as the PS3 release looms, are the older players ever going to get the new skins, graphics and voices (?, vorty maybe) as the console versions, DISCUSS or REVEAL any news.

Maybe some day in the future but to be honest I'd rather see Valve pool all of their resources into EP3 rather than sit around retrofitting HL2 and EP1 with new tech.

As for the Vort voices I doubt that will ever happen, they'd have to go back and re-record everything again and thats just pointless.

We are going to get the updates like the HDR new models and achievements. We don't know when exactly but Valve said they hope to have them out soon. Well thats what they told me when i e-mailed them.

Gabe has responded to several emails on the subject with the confirmation that the PC would be getting the updates, but after "things settle down". He mentioned bandwidth in one email I saw quoted. Apart from that, I can only assume that getting the PS3 version out was also a priority.

Btw, I for one love the fact they go back and retro fit their older stuff with new tech. It is one of the things I appreciate about Valve the most.

Getting the PS3 version out is EA responsibility not Valves so they don't need to bother with it.

I hope they don't replace Half-Life 2's Vortigaunt voices with Episode 2's, I'm happy with Half-Life 2's Vortigaunt voices.

I don't think they will cause it's not making the game better like the other updates and i don't think the new guy has done all the lines the original did.

This question has been answered before. And you might want to change your wording... "Coming Soon" is not the best option on the list...
