HL2 backup not working!!!

ok I used the backup option in steam to do a backup of all the games onto a dvd..

then a reinstalled xp, installed steam and proceeded to use the backup "SteamBackup Half-Life 2.exe" 2.3gb now its almost finshed and I've and got this message saying:

Please insert disk 2

Please insert the volume containing the file:
steambackup half life 2 disk 2.dat

==================

Now does that mean anything to anyone who has tried this? because there is no other files in the backup folder that was used.

If someone could get back to me on this please

well when the cd option is used it generates 6 different cd images. I used that method accidentally (backed them onto spare hd) but when i came to reinstall i either got that message or it just crashed all together.

I'm sorry to say that, as i discovered 6 hours before hl2's launch, there are problems with the backup utility and i've read numerous reports of crashes. You may have to download it all again

nah I stayed one step ahead and just backed up the old steam folder..

its all back to normal.. but that backup utility seems pretty lame valve, bet some kid could make a better version, that doesn't take ages to backup aswel!!!
